Laser hair removal has long been a popular choice for women keen to avoid the constant cycle of waxing and shaving, but there’s a growing trend in male clients keen to look as smooth and groomed as possible.

David Beckham, Daniel Craig as Bond, David Gandy in the D&G commercials and even the guys in TOWIE; the male standard of grooming has reached new heights and increasingly men are keen to get rid of hairy backs and chests.

Market analysis company Mintel found that half of all consumers felt that there was now pressure on men to remove body hair and their recent survey into male grooming habits found that only 30% of men had resisted the urge to remove hair from the body in the last year.

And it seems that this is a practice favoured by their partners. In a survey carried out by Clothes Show Live, 59% of women preferred a smooth chest to a hairy one.
